Hey Data Geek.
Today I will share some open roles from several of my favorite companies out there with humongous potential.
The first one I want to talk about is Deel, which recently shared that is doing $400 Million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). Yes, this is not a typo: the number is real and even more impressive is that the number last year was $295 Million. Just wow. And they are hiring in the Data department in the EMEA region:
Analytics Manager, Revenue (EMEA)
Senior Data Analyst, Revenue (EMEA)
The second company I want to talk about is PayPal, yes PayPal. Why? Because there is a new vibe in the company with the new CEO Alex Chriss. And the company is always reinventing itself, but the challenges it faces every single day are huge. So, this could be a terrific opportunity for someone interested in building a career in financial services, payments, payments fraud, Antimoney Laundering, and more.
Some of my favorite positions today are:
Manager, Data Science (Mexico City, Mexico) (Chat with Karen Elcenko)
Product Data Scientist (San Jose, California)
The third company I wanted to share with you is Greenlite AI, which is a software platform that uses generative AI to automate routine investigative tasks in financial crime teams, freeing up human capacity for higher-leverage work.
Why this company is so interesting? It’s very simple: just think about this number:
The estimated amount of money laundered globally in one year is 2 - 5% of global GDP, or $800 billion - $2 trillion in current US dollars. Due to the clandestine nature of money-laundering, it is however difficult to estimate the total amount of money that goes through the laundering cycle.
And even when banks are investing a lot of resources in it, they are still failing to tackle this problem. An example of this was the sanctions imposed on the HSBC Bank of $85 Million in 2021.
So this company is working on a huge problem that needs to be solved. And recently they just announced new funding: $4.8 Million to be exact. I truly love the team behind this company, and the potential is there.
Believe me: if I was in the United States, I would apply to work with this team. This is the level of conviction I have for this team.
These are the open positions:
Founding Applied AI Engineer (Location: San Francisco, CA) (Total compensation: $160k - $220k / 0.50% - 2.00%)
Founding Backend Engineer (Location: San Francisco, CA) (Total compensation: $160k - $220k / 0.50% - 2.00%)
Time to shine my friend.
